For decades, ships were repaired and restored here.
Today, ball players are built here.
Along the banks of the Wando River sits one of the most unique baseball destinations in America: Shipyard Park. If you’ve never been, it’s worth adding to your list. The views are incredible, the facilities are first class, and everywhere you look you’ll find families making memories around the game we all love.

What makes this place even more special is its history.
Long before the first pitch was ever thrown, this property was home to Detyens Shipyards. For decades, skilled craftsmen repaired and restored ships that traveled waters around the world. It was a place defined by hard work, craftsmanship, and people committed to building something that would last.
Rather than allowing the property to become just another commercial development, the Stewart family had a different vision. They transformed a former shipyard into a place where the next generation could gather, compete, and fall in love with baseball and softball. Today, Shipyard Park has become one of the premier baseball and softball destinations in the country, welcoming thousands of athletes and families from across the United States and abroad each year. With world-class fields, an incredible waterfront setting, and tournaments nearly every weekend, it’s easy to see why so many teams circle Charleston on their calendar.

At Anchor, places like this mean something to us.
Our company was built around the belief that the sport is bigger than the game itself. It’s about communities. It’s about traditions passed from one generation to the next. It’s about craftsmanship, relationships, and stories that deserve to be remembered.

We’ve been fortunate to visit ballparks and baseball destinations all across the country. Every place has its own personality, but one thing that caught us off guard at Shipyard Park was the food. We’re not exaggerating when we say the concessions here are near the top of our list. From the sliders and shrimp & grits to the loaded specialty tater tots, everything is done well. And if you’re looking to cool off after a long day at the ballpark, you can grab Zano’s Italian ice, fresh-squeezed lemonades, or homemade ice cream. They’ve somehow managed to make ballpark food feel like a destination of its own. If you’re here for a tournament, don’t skip a meal.

When we had the opportunity to become part of Shipyard Park, it felt like a natural fit.
You’ll find us set up throughout the rest of the summer and into the fall with a collection of Anchor apparel, hats, accessories, and wood bats. Whether you’re in town for a tournament, spending the weekend with family, or simply stopping by to enjoy one of the country’s best baseball venues, we’d love for you to come say hello.

If you’ve followed Anchor for any amount of time, you know we love places with history. We love places where something meaningful was built long before we arrived. Shipyard Park is exactly that. The same ground that once repaired ships built to cross oceans now helps develop young athletes chasing their own dreams.
Different purpose.
Same foundation.
There’s something fitting about that.

If your travels bring you to Charleston this season, make time to walk around Shipyard Park. Watch a few innings. Grab a seat overlooking the water. Appreciate what this place has become.
Then stop by and see us.
We’ll be at Shipyard Park for the rest of the summer and throughout the fall, and we’d love the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and help you find something to remember your trip.
Until then…
Stay Anchored.
